Tama City is a district in the western area of the Tokyo metropolis where the story of Itsudatte My Santa! occurs.
The area was built due to increasing demand for expansion due to growing industry in Tokyo and Yokohama. The area is located within a set of hills known as Tama Hills and has the Tama River as its north-eastern boundary.

- Tama City is based on the actual location in Tokyo, Japan.
- Santa encounters Mai at the Karakida Station in Tama city; a district in the western part of Tokyo.
- The christmas tree that Mai sits under in the manga is at Hibiya Park. In the real world, there is a fountain where the tree is located.
